The Artist
A tattoo is on your skin. It is yours. Lee will always work to respect her client’s tattoo vision.
Lee’s Art and Tattoo Background
Lee has an expressive abstract style that echoes natural textures. She builds swirls with feathers, scales, claws, petals and more. She loves nature and uses beautiful flowing filigree to connect her arching designs.
She majored in art at Scripps College and has always been an active mixed-media artist. Her main media is pen and ink, watercolor and colored pencil. She loves to work on plywood because the wood grain is stunning and tells an image below the painting. Like wood, skin has natural texture and shading that emphasizes flow of her tattoo designs.
Since she started tattooing in 2020, Lee has learned to combine her unique style into her tattoo work by minimizing the extreme detail she once incorporated in her paper art. She now focuses on creating larger, bolder designs that still flow like cream in a coffee cup.
While Lee has her own unique style, her tattoo portfolio is full of variety. This is because Lee has done all different types of tattoo work! At her previous shop, ‘Redemption Tattoo’ in Bend, OR, she was encouraged to try a little of everything. Lee has served a wide variety of customers and has always worked to meet her clients needs and build unique designs for each of them. She is excellent at small walk-in tattoos and helping plan a successful design that will look awesome for a lifetime.
She loves neo-traditional, traditional Americana, abstract, lettering, full color, and sticker-style flash tattoos. She does not tattoo large sacred geometry. human portraits, or white on black. She does like to rework old tattoos, cover up old tattoos, and add filler to create sleeves. She will not rework tattoos by other local artists, but is fine reworking tattoos from far away.
Most of all, Lee enjoys working with her clients to find something meaningful. She likes to combine her client’s desired imagery, add flow so it fits the body, and help her clients feel supported and respected throughout the tattoo. She will be honest about her abilities and will always listen to her client’s requests.
